Job Summary:
As the Technical Marketing Engineer for Engineering Applications, you will create technical reports outlining best practices for deployment of NetApp storage technologies for Engineering Applications such as Manufacturing Product Life Cycle Management (PLM), Software Development and Electronic Design Automation (EDA). In this position, you will work jointly with application partners to create, test and certify joint solutions. You will be responsible for evaluating the performance of the alternative deployment options, as well as quantifying the benefits that NetApp technologies deliver for the Engineering Applications environments.

Essential Functions:
• Create solutions that help an Engineering Application customer in deploying NetApp storage in their environment (e.g. Siemens-PLM Teamcenter, Dassault Enovia, Synopsys, Rational ClearCase, Perforce)
• Work with partner in joint solution and integration with NetApp storage technologies
• Become the domain expert for Engineering applications within the company
• Test and evaluate performance of different deployment architectures, and recommend best practices for deployment of NetApp storage in these application environments
• Understand the customer workflow in these environments, and identify key NetApp technologies that positively impact the customer. Quantify the benefits delivered by the NetApp solution
• Create technical reports / white papers outlining best practices for deployment of NetApp solutions for Engineering Applications.
• Create and deliver training content for pre and post sales engineers around deployment of Netpp solutions for Engineering Applications
• Deliver technical presentations to customers and assist with sales efforts in the Engineering Applications environments.
• Present at NetApp events as well as partner events on relevant topics
• Evaluate new NetApp technologies for Engineering Applications, and provide feedback to engineering as well as obtain proof-points.

Job Requirements:
• Strong working knowledge of storage architecture and topology (NAS & SAN), IP networking and Fiber Channel connectivity is desired.
• Working knowledge of file systems (UFS, NFS, NTFS) and storage system.
• Strong working knowledge of operating systems (Solaris, AIX, Linux, HP/UX, and Windows) and IP networking.
• Experience working with databases such as Oracle, MS SQL Server is highly desired.
• Extensive hands-on experience with development of scripts for application administration, such as backup and restore is also required. (Shell, Pearl, Java etc.)
• Candidate must have strong technical and project management skills and must be able to work cross-functionally with other development teams and partners.
• Must also possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge in one or more of the engineering applications highly desired: Siemens-PLM Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Dassault Enovia, Perforce, Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor Graphics

Job Summary:
As a Product and Partner Engineer you work cross-functionally to create technical content for Customers, System Engineers and Channel Partners. The engineer will work closely with Product Management and Development Engineering on the company's future strategies related to their specific area of expertise. You may also work closely with third-party vendor organizations as required to achieve corporate goals in regards to product integration and best practices.

Essential Functions:
- Develop technical collateral for best practices guides, design guides, integration guides etc. Time includes lab work, technical writing, and revision work.

- Technical product management. These activities include but are not limited to: participation in cross functional product teams, MRD review and development participation, and roadmap development.

- Advanced Training - development of advanced technical training (train the trainer) for areas of expertise. Training audiences may include NetAppU course developers, CSE or FTL field experts.

- Content Maintenance - updates, revisions, removal of content in the engineer?s area of expertise. Materials subject to maintenance include: Technical Reports, PPTs, Training Content, FAQs, etc.

- Education and self development - continue to develop subject matter expertise through external and internal training, continuing education, etc.

- Project Management for cross functional projects of a 2-6 month timeframe.

- Lab management functions as required to maintain the engineer's lab equipment setup and tear down.

As a Manager of NFS QA Engineering, you will manage professional level Engineers within the function. You will manage a group of Engineers focused on functional testing of NetApp’s NFS Server product. The NFS QA team is focused on discovering defects in the NFS Server software through the execution of systematic tests plans and procedures. Working closely with the development teams, this team plays a crucial role in being able to ship a highly reliable product. The team develop, modify, and execute software test plans; analyze and write test standards and procedures; maintain documentation of results; and consult with development Engineers in resolution of problems. Job Description:

Facilitate IT operational task execution in response to business needs: works with NGS (NetApp Global Services) business partners to understand their needs and priorities, design, implement, and communicate solutions to address those priorities. Understands, and is in tune with NGS business partners on priorities and tradeoffs, driving IT towards solutions to incidents and problems that support those priorities. Provides guidance to the L2 support engineers on impact to the business of issues – priority, how to troubleshoot those issues, who should be involved in resolving incidents. Defines and reports metrics to measure the needs and priorities of our business partners in relation to IT support. Main responsibilities for the Application Support NGS Level 2 Business Analyst:
- Focal point for Level 2 support engineers, including: business knowledge, incident prioritization, incident escalation.
- Consult with NGS business partners on impact of system changes and issues to their processes.
- Establish metrics and measures.
- Facilitate priority 1 NGS incidents: task management, resource identification, business communication.
- Facilitate business prioritization of NGS IT Operational/Support activities.
- Provide deep business and technical knowledge of system flows (application interfaces, business logic, end-to-end business process)in support of incident and problem resolution.
- Champion application changes needed by NGS IT team to improve call closure time and increase system stability, reducing the number of critical incidents for our key applications.

Business Systems Analyst 4

Job Summary:

Reporting to Senior Manager Business Intelligence Operations the Business Intelligence Applications Service Lead will have full responsibility for the daily/weekly/monthly operational activities of the EDW Operations team. This role is a key IT position responsible for owning the EDW area in terms of level one support as well as metrics development, documentation management and production operations execution. The successful candidate will work closely with internal support team and third party managed service providers to close management of all EDW daily, weekly and monthly processing as well as prompt resolution of issues arising in the EDW area and the development of robust and scalable processes to enhance the productivity of the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) aspect of the reporting environment. A background in the area of enterprise reporting is preferred including management of data extraction from a variety of source systems, employment of a tier one ETL tool and strong background in reporting systems.

Job Requirements:

- Manage the third party vendor providing level one support for the EDW application for internal sales users and employees.

- Enhance and modify per business requirements the processes to manage the ETL aspect of the EDW for daily, month end and quarter end close processes.

- Work closely with the level 2 support team to drive closure on any issues that arise in the course of normal ETL processing activity where published service levels are not met.

- Manage the ongoing monitoring of the production environments for the EDW including alert management as well as trend reporting to feed into the ongoing capacity planning exercises.

- Evaluate and select suitable tools to provide automated monitoring for the ETL area to increase employee efficiency and drive lower cost in this area.

- Monitor and manage the existing support tickets in the Help Desk call tracking system to ensure the timely closure of open tickets and provide weekly reporting metrics for the support area.

- Manage the enhancement of metrics reporting for the ETL area to provide automated dashboard provision on performance supported by available on-line metrics.

- Proven experience and track record supporting EDW platforms with good understanding of underlying ETL function to deliver data to the EDW.

- Experience working with one of the tier one EDW and ETL platforms.

- Large scale project and program management experience, including full-cycle tier-1 EDW system implementations.

- Production system support responsibility for a major high-tech company in a fast-paced, high growth, dynamic and global environment.

- Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills.

- Ability to make and own key decisions, while balancing input from key business stakeholders.
